On January 13th a US Airways passenger plane had to make an emergency crash landing in New York City's Hudson River. The plane developed engine problems after striking a flock of birds that eventually got sucked into its engines. The tapes of the miraculous landing are now being released. On the tapes the captain reports “hitting a flock of birds” and reports losing thrust in both engines.

A lot of us unknowingly cheat on our taxes every year.

Here I am on my first trip ever to Austin Texas to participate in a company sponsored business conference. Though I had came in on a late flight Sunday night, I woke up early morning to get a head start on finding my location. I could have sworn I was still dreaming when I read the contents of the flashing digital public safety road signs ahead of me - “ZOMBIES IN AREA! RUN” and “NAZI ZOMBIES! RUN!!!.” No conference was that important to get bitten by zombies I thought to myself, in my half awake frame of mind. If I was dreaming then I guess I could run for it.

 So this is the cat that was accused of killing the bird? Well I wouldn't swear on it but I think this cat is innocent. After all, that feather in its mouth really means nothing, it could be just coincidental that the wind blew it there.

 A former paster of the Church of Downtown Montreal, in Canada, was sentenced to five years in prison for having sex with a minor on Monday. The victim, his “alleged wife” was only 10 years old at the time of the “marriage” and start of the sexual abuse in 1999.

Just about forty years ago blacks were being lynched in the United States of America blacks, they were spat upon and weren't even considered human enough to share the same facilities or eat in the same restaurants as whites. Approximately forty years later America has elected a black man to the highest office in the nation and possible throughout the world, Barack Obama has been elected and sworn in as the next President of the United States of America. No matter what race you are, this is something to be proud of.

A 107 year old Chinese woman, Wang Guiying, has decided that she is finally ready for a husband.  After waiting more than a century she has decided that she has waited long enough and is ready for a man in her life. She has also accepted and welcomed the fact that she will end up marring someone much younger than she is, possibly a youngster in his early 90s to early 100s.

When asked why she waited this long, she told the Chonggin Commercial Times, "getting married was too frightening."
